Frequently Asked Questions!
Is the lip balm vegan?
No, the use of bees wax means that an animal product has been used to create this lip balm.
My lip balm had become grainy!
This can happen due to temperature changes. If you leave lip balm in your purse or pocket, or you live in a hot environment, the lip balm will melt. When it hardens it may become grainy again. It's still perfectly safe to use so do not be concerned!
My lip balm has white spots on it!
Do not be alarmed, this is NOT mold! This is called wax bloom which happens due to the beeswax in the balm. This can be caused by cold temperatures, as well as general oxidation overtime. It is harmless and just an eye sore.
To remove wax bloom (or a grainy texture), you can do a few things:
1. Place the lip balm un-capped in the microwave anywhere from 30 seconds to 4 minutes. Once the lip balm is melted, let it cool. This will reincorporate the wax and leave the balm smooth again.
2. Place the balm capped in a cup of hot water for 2-5 minutes. Once the lip balm is melted, let it cool. This will reincorporate the wax and leave the balm smooth again.
NOTE: Please twist the balm until it is retracted into the tube completely! otherwise it may leak!
